Appelation:

Niersteiner Rehbach (Reh = deer, bach = creek), Rheinhessen / Germany. Rehbach is one of the best vineyard sites in Nierstein, combining the Grand Cru vineyards of Pettenthal and Hipping. Located in sight of the Rhein river with Southeasterly exposure.

Grape: 

Riesling - best and most versatile white wine grape in the world.

Terroir: 

Red slate, unique soil composition that pronounces the mineral character of Riesling. Steep hillsides along the Rhein river.

Quality: 

Prädikatswein - Spätlese. Natural viticulture and vinification.

 Taste:

Elegant and classical Riesling scent, paired with aromas of tropical fruits. Green apples and citrus, pineapple and melon.Excellent balance of sweetness and acidity.

 Analysis:

12 % Alc., 37,9 g/l residual sweetness, 6,8 g/l fruit acidity

 Viticulture:

Natural cultivation following officially controlled measures (DLG). Reduced pruning, defoilage and green harvest. Very limited and strictly monitored use of fertilizers and chemicals.

 Vinification:

Gentle pressing, natural sedimentation, temperature controlled fermentation at 13° C in stainless steel.

 Recommendation:

Classic gourmet-dinner-wine. Best with fish, white meat, poultry or mild cheese.

 Temperature:
